This is a preliminary listing. I will be replacing the photos with more group views and a more complete list and description of all the items. No offers, please, regardless of what e-Bay automatically posts. There are numerous hard and soft cases, spreaders, accessories, metric and Imperial/English tools, and many adapters and parts included.Because much of my recording involved very narrow angle, extreme telephoto views I needed tripods that are very rigid with no panning torsion backlash. With a few exceptions the collection includes triangular legs or parallel legs designed for maximum rigidity. I modified many of the tripods, the two high hats, and all the counterbalanced fluid heads to utilize adapters for the unique Vinten Quickfix interface (the "female" for the tripod and the "male" disc for the head) and for the Gitzo and Bogen/Manfrotto Ball Levelers and quick release interfaces for greater balancing range and for the easy interchanging of the heads on the different tripods and high hats. For the others I made interfaces for the standard 3/8-16 screw attachment. The Vinten Quickfix interface system is still a current product and I have three of the original design and one of the revised design for safety, the Heavy-Duty Quickfix Adaptor. I prefer heads that have continuously variable drag and infinite counterbalance adjustment that the models from O'Connor and Vinten have because using long focal length zoom lenses at maximum telephoto to follow performing artists as they move requires a fine adjustment for perfect balance and the exact amount of desired pan and tilt drag depending on the subject's movement. Inventory of balancing fluid heads/lubricated friction heads. O'Conner 2030VS with Quickfix base (the video studio version with the extra strong counterbalance spring and 60° tilt), (including 120 mm claw ball part). (2) Vinten Post Heads with Quickfix base (unique balance achieved without springs, 90° tilt). Vinten Cygnet Post Head with Quickfix base (unique balance achieved without springs, 90° tilt). Vinten Vision 6 with Quickfix base (including the 70 mm ball part, 90° tilt). There are multiple handles for the heads, including a custom modification. 3 for the O'Connor 2030VS including a custom-cut short handle for mounting a remote focus control. The rare, unique Randall Handle in the photo is no longer included because an accomplished Los Angeles movie industry camera operator wanted it badly and he made me an extraordinary offer I couldn't refuse. 1 for the Vinten Vision 6. 5 interchangeable for the Vinten 10 and the Vinten 20. Vinten Heavy Duty Tripod, 150 mm Bowl, With Vinten Ground Spreader (63.75 inches maximum height). Vinten Medium Duty Tripod, 70 mm Bowl, With Vinten Ground Spreader (63 inches maximum height). A note about the Majestic Studio tripods. They were made in Chicago, Illinois, USA for still photography studios with big, large format cameras and they came with a relatively small diameter crank up column and telescoping section that extended to a maximum height of 83½ inches.
Their heavy, triangular leg and triangular leg extension design made them extremely rigid but the extended column was not good for heavy video cameras so I removed them and adapted them for the Gitzo leveling column. If I can find the original column crank units I will include them. Two wood tripods that are great for outdoor use on sand, dirt, mud, and on snow or in very cold Winter temperatures with a selection of feet including two sizes of spikes, rubber discs, and large plastic discs for deep, soft sand and deep -snow.
