REALLY RIGHT STUFF TVC-23 SERIES 2 MK2 CARBON FIBER TRIPOD. This is a gorgeous carbon fiber tripod.

It has twist locks on the legs, enabling you to lock the leg easily and it stays locked. Fast to set up and take down. Total weight is 3.42 lbs.

This tripod is barely used, and shows very little, if any wear at all. We take very good care of our equipment! Please look closely at the images. Personally, Ive traveled and hiked with this tripod and its quite light and easy to carry, even with a full frame DSLR with a 300mm lens. Being rather small in stature, the lightness of this tripod was key for me, and allows me to hike and shoot for hours with no problems.

Its really a great all-around tripod! Improved ergonomics make operating the tripod more comfortable and seamless. Additional 1/4-20 sockets along the outside of the tripods apex allow you to attach optional accessories and shoulder-strap mounts.

The Mark 2 Tripods are faster to lock/unlock and hold up better to the elements. Redesigned twist-locks prevent grit and debris from contaminating the threads.

We added a vent at the top of each leg to allow efficient air transfer when extending or collapsing, for rapid deployment and takedown. The TVC-23 Mk2 Tripod is smaller and lighter than our Series 3 Tripods, and perfectly complement our BH-40 ball head. They offer the benefits of both a compact traveler and a Versa-style tripod, all in one. The TFC-23 Mk2 Tripod includes most of the features from the TVC-23 Mk2 but swaps out the versa apex for a fixed apex. The fixed apex cannot use accessories like a quick-column, but packs down considerably smaller in diameter. Mk2 Series 2 Tripods are the perfect choice for mid-sized gear combos. Common mid-sized gear includes most DSLR cameras and 70-200mm/f2.8 and 300mm/f4 telephotos. Given its high load capacity, a Versa Series 2 Tripod is also a great solution for shooters who need maximum support but want to keep their tripod as portable as possible. Our unique accessories further expand the utility of the TVC-23. Add a quick-column for more height, or use a leveling base for instant leveling. Optionally, add the leveling base to the quick-column and give your tripod an adjustable height leveling base. Ideal for most landscape photography. Twist locks with integrated wipers to keep particles out of the locking mechanism, providing better resistance to the elements. Improved knurling pattern feels better on your skin.

Collets replace the old locking gibbs, reducing lock engagement to half the travel to lock and unlock faster with less effort. O-rings help keep threads clean and smooth while providing better tactile feedback. Vented clevis design allow legs to collapse faster without pressure buildup. Threaded sockets on the sides of the apex provide better placement for accessories like Quick Detach (QD) attachments or a BC-18. Less tools to carry when changing apex accessories; the 2 and 3 Series SureGrip (TVC models only) now uses the same 5/32 hex key you likely have stored on your RRS plate.

The TVC-23 Mk2 from Really Right Stuff is a lightweight, mid-range Series 2 carbon fiber tripod designed for use in both the field and studio. Constructed from Really Right Stuff's patented carbon fiber weave, the TVC-23 weighs in at an impressive 3.3 lb and can safely support up to 40 lb. Its 3-section leg design allows the tripod to extend to a maximum height of 52.6" and lower down to a minimum working height of just 3.7". Quick set-up and break-down is facilitated by easy-to-use twist locks that require just a quarter rotation to unlock and re-lock each leg section. This design also helps to maintain the tripod's slim folded silhouette. Additionally, when traveling with or storing the tripod, the entire support can fold down to just 23.9 in length, small enough to travel or hike with. Each leg is attached to the tripod's collar via an offset leg joint that helps to evenly distribute heavy loads and maintain the tripod's rigidity. The joints and collar itself are constructed of lightweight anodized aluminum which, aside from lending inherent strength to the tripod, also provides it with natural wear and corrosion resistance. Each one of the three leg joints also feature a ratcheting angle stop that automatically locks into place as the legs are folded downward into "standard" position. The TVC-23's feet are a unique teardrop shape, which prevents the leg sections from touching the ground at even the lowest height settings and the most unusual angles. Their rubber exterior provides a non-slip grip on nearly any surface and can be used both indoors and outdoors without concern.

For users wishing to change the native rubber feet to metal "all-terrain" spikes, a set of metal spikes are available separately.
